The Western Marbled White is mostly found in dry, rocky places with grassy vegetation and scattered rocks, although it is also seen in damper locations. Its foodplants are various grasses, such as Tor- grass (Brachypodium pinnatum), Bermuda-grass (Cynodon dactylon), and Cock’s-foot (Dactylus glomerata). This species is single-brooded and hibernates as a caterpillar.
